Personal Branding

When redesigning my logo and website I researched brands I admired, and I asked myself “what do I want my branding to say about me?” In fact, “who am?”…and “what adjectives have people used to describe me?”

This is my re-brand journey, enjoy!

Erikasavestheday.com started with a design team I had been a part of for 11 years. We had a great camaraderie and I was of course asking them for ideas for a website url. I feel that all projects should be vetted by people you trust. After lots of jokes, my friend then said, “how about erika saves the day?” I felt it was catchy and it spoke to what we as designers do for important business initiatives, we “save the day”!

We breathe life into ideas.

It started with the logo. I had my first logo for 15 years, it had been with me through my whole career. But it was outdated and spoke to who I was at THAT age. I have matured in so many ways, not only skills-wise but even my personality is much more confident than I used to be. The old branding just didn’t represent who I have become as a person or an artist.
